The Bend Like Bamboo Resilience Show: Featuring Mark Heggart CEO of The Myubi Foundation.

Welcome to The Bend Like Bamboo Resilience Show. Each week, I get to interview amazing people, who will share their inspiring stories of resilience. I dive deep into wonderful DNM’s with my very special guests, exploring their stories of how they have overcome adversity in their lives, professionally and personally.

Get ready to be inspired by their stories, golden nuggets, and actionable tools that can help us all to elevate our mindset, and be bigger than our setbacks. Within every adversity is an equal or greater opportunity. My intention for these sessions is to remind us that no matter what we are going through, we can overcome it, and discover what we are made of.

It is important to feel motivated and hopeful about the future. When we are positive we can be more creative, and innovative. Seeing our obstacles as opportunities, rising above the turbulence we can feel more ready to rebuild our mind, body, and lives after what has been a massive adjustment to 2020.

Introducing Mark Heggart CEO of the Myubi Foundation

Mark is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of successfully creating profitable businesses, helping others to achieve their dreams and visions. I loved interviewing Mark, I have known him for over 20 years and he was also one of the main producers who worked on my twin sister’s and my music album what seems like a lifetime ago!

An entrepreneur at heart, he is always expanding, learning, and growing his work in new innovative directions.

Believe, have faith and act is Mark’s definition of resilience. Mark was originally burnt in cryptocurrency and that is what led him to create Myubi which now has 750 K social followers, 5637 users! When I asked Mark what resilience means to him he said that ‘no one is coming’. He believes we must do things for ourselves, allowing us to learn and grow. It is from the darkest pits of despair that we grow the most. His advice is to allow yourself to be not ok and to sit still in the hard times when life brings it challenges. No one can really help you when you in this place, this is when you must show up for yourself. Mark believes we need to trust ourselves and the flow of life to have faith that we will in fact succeed.

Mark was adopted, which he found difficult as a child, he battled with low self-esteem and he believed that he wasn’t special. This difficult time led him to pursue how to become ‘special’ in his life externally. Mark was a recording artist and producer in his early 20’s and he began to lose his hair. This affected his self-esteem even more and he felt unlovable and ashamed. His relationships began to change around him, his career went off path and his health declined.

This led to a new life where Mark knew he has to become a whole new authentic version of himself to feel joyful and healthy again. This led him to find a career that would be of service to the world, helping the community. Taking the focus away from himself, he now lives a happier life that has helped him to be an authentic leader in his space. His relationships are more connected and he gets so much satisfaction out of making a difference in people’s lives as an extension of his career. Join us for an inspiring chat.
