The emotional links to metabolism

At Bend Like Bamboo I specialise in the emotional links to disease and physical stress. In traditional Chinese medicine our muscles are associated with your organs. But also your emotions, which is why a sore neck is linked with emotions of over worry. The stomach organ is in charge of digestion, if there is a physical imbalance here I will look at how are you currently digesting life?

Today’s blog is about CELL METABOLISM.

BODY METABOLISM

Is the rate at which cell activity is taking place and energy that is being consumed. Glucose and fat are our main sources of energy. When the metabolism rate increases, so does the amount of glucose and fat this is used in the body, and vice versa. Organs relate to departments in our lives and cell metabolism relates to the rate of development of an area of life. If you are concerned about this rate, whether it is happening too fast or too slow, the body may mirror image these emotions. This may stem from fear or even grasping. Either way you are disconnecting from trust and the flow of life. Gary Zucav author of ‘Seat of the Soul’ beautifully explains, that there is the mothership and the little boat. Our personalities are our little boat and the mothership is our purpose and connection to all that is. When we go with the flow with the waters and feel guided to follow our path we will glide along clam waters. When we try and sail upstream or against the flow we will find turbulence. I believe turbulent times serves a purpose, the point is not to try and avoid difficulties. It may be a time to question how much you are trying to go one way when life is guiding you to another.

The health of your metabolism can emotionally relate to the rate of your personal development in life. When one becomes concerned about the rate (too fast / too slow) of growth this may be related to the change in the body's metabolism.

EG: acquiring material assets, studying, creating a family, meeting a partner, skill development, spiritual development.

EG: You might feel like you want to slow down the rate of development in an area of your life.

EG: Or you might feel like your personal development is stagnated and is not growing at the pace that you'd like, that it is not happening fast enough, your body and thyroid may mirror these emotions.

Lesson:

The rate of our true life's personal development is at the rate that our wisdom is developing, via situations that occur in our life, even the ones that seem in the way or irrelevant. These situations are there to teach us the next relevant lesson to learn, to gain further wisdom.

Tips:

Give your body the right environment to adjust to change

Write a journal about your positive and difficult thoughts everyday

Meditate on these thoughts daily and let them go

Exercise

Sleep

Eat nutrient dense, seasonal wholefood

Reconnect and find your purpose - live a life that you love

Mantra:

We are always working on our personal development in our lives.

Trust that you are where you need to be in your life right now and find the joy in that whilst working towards developing towards higher wisdom.
