The emotional links to Crohn’s Disease

At Bend Like Bamboo I specialise in the emotional links to disease and physical stress. In traditional Chinese medicine our muscles are associated with our organs and emotions, which is why a sore neck can linked with emotions of over worry. For example, the stomach organ is in charge of digestion, if there is a physical imbalance here I will also look at how are you currently digesting life?

HOW YOU THINK AND FEEL IS A MIRROR IMAGE OF WHAT OCCURS BIOCHEMICALLY IN YOUR BODY, AND WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR REALITY AROUND YOU.

If we understand that the body is connected, we can get to the bottom of physical symptoms by understanding how they are related to our emotional state.

Remember how we perceive stress is our own perception. If we can soften in calmer energy we are more able to see our situation with fresh eyes and new angles. From here you can change your mind about old redundant stories, that may not be in alignment with who you are now or the reality you wish to create.

To Bend Like Bamboo is to change your mind about what can be possible for you, being flexible in your mindset, optimising resilience.

The correlating emotions :

The emotional links to Crohn’s Disease can be a tendency to see life from a gloomy or cynical perspective. As a result, it has become familiar to foster negative attitude, criticism, constant put downs. You might be trying to suppress rather than allow or feel uncomfortable feelings. You may be constantly trying to hide your sensitivity and pretending to be confident, ok and undisturbed by other people’s comments, while feeling stuck on the inside.

You may want to explore :

Did you feel as though you grew up in a tug of war family dynamic, that what you stood for was challenged by influential people? Do you feel rejected and inadequate, as if you were not good enough during your childhood? When we feel forced to compromised with other people points of view, this can create an inner conflict within ourselves unless we find the self esteem and confidence to voice our truth. Confidence and communication are key issues to address. Do you enjoy the public eye, but fear being exposed or losing control? Are you overcompensating with your personality to hide the pain and turmoil that stems from your childhood? You may not have the stomach to suppress past trauma, so you suppress it and keep quiet and this is how you feel safe.

LESSON:

Reassess with awareness any anger you may be suppressing and if it still useful to hold all that energy in. Catch yourself when you are being unkind, critical or defensive towards yourself or others. Can you transform the past rising higher above the turbulence to see your circumstances with a new mindset? You may be emotionally sensitive, so building your courage will be really important as it is now your time to shine, let go of the past and create the life you deserve to live feeling loved, supported with a sense of belonging. When you fear communicating your truth, being left behind or criticised, catch yourself and choose a new reaction. When you believe in yourself, other people will too.

MANTRA: I HAVE COURAGE, I AM ALWAYS SUPPORTED, I BELONG, IT IS SAFE TO COMMUNICATE
